2024 Lexus TX Model Review

Lexus TX

Lexus – a pioneer of the luxury crossover class – is bringing out the all-new TX 2024 this fall. It should be the company’s largest crossover SUV ever and the following is all that is known of it:

Powertrain and Numbers

The base engine available on the Lexus TX 2024 is a 2.4-liter turbo that produces 275 hp and 317 lb-ft – you can find this on the 2024 TX350 models. Upgrade to the 2024 TX500h F Sport Performance and you’ll get a hybridized version that makes 366 hp and 409 lb-ft.

Even more impressive is the 2024 TX550h+ as it is a plug-in hybrid with a 3.5-liter V6 good for 406 hp. The transmissions available with the first two engines are 6- and 8-speed automatics respectively, while the third has a CVT. All-wheel drive is standard with the latter two engines.

The most efficient of these Lexus TX models is expected to be the 2024 TX550h+ with a combined fuel rating of 30 mpg – it will also have an all-electric range of 33 miles. Next up is the 2024 TX500h at 24 mpg combined, followed by the 2024 TX350 at 21 mpg combined.

Interior and Technology

The Lexus TX’s interior will be a graceful one with three spacious rows of seats that can seat 6 or 7 people based on your choice of trims. You can expect to find high quality materials throughout the cabin. Despite a lot of room in the third bench, expect a capacious trunk as well.

The trim levels on the 2024 Lexus TX are the following:

  • Caviar
  • Cloudburst Gray
  • Eminent White Pearl
  • Iridium
  • Matador Red Mica
  • Moonbeam Beige Metallic
  • Nightfall Mica
  • Obsidian
  • Sunlit Green

You get a large 14-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and seven USB ports. Other available niceties offered include a head-up display, a12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a premium 21-speaker Mark Levinson stereo.

The safety features include automated emergency braking (w/pedestrian detection), lane-departure warning (w/lane-keeping assist), road sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control (w/lane-centering).

Exterior and Driving

On the outside, the 2024 Lexus TX looks like a posher cousin of the Toyota Grand Highlander, because it is – they’re built on the same platform. It is a stylish crossover with LED lighting and you can equip it with 22-inch alloys.

The drivability of the TX hasn’t been tested yet. But since it’s got more power than its Toyota counterpart, it should be a much quicker and more dynamic vehicle that provides a smooth ride.

Reliability and Warranty

The TX will feature a limited warranty of 4 years/50k miles, a powertrain warranty of 6 years/70k miles, and complimentary maintenance for 1 year/10k miles. If you get a hybrid model, expect a hybrid components warranty of 8 years/100k miles.

Verdict

Based on what we know right now, the 2024 Lexus TX is expected to create shockwaves in the large crossover SUV segment. This is because of its immense power output, roominess for its 6-7 occupants, a large cargo capacity, and lots of luxury.
