2023 LX600 Review
The Lexus LX has always been a larger-than-life vehicle – some would say literally. It is as luxurious and powerful as an automobile can get. But unlike its rivals, it is also a part of off-roading royalty as it isn’t too shy when it comes to conquering the great outdoors.
The following is a review of its latest model, the mighty 2023 Lexus LX600:
Features
The Lexus LX is currently in its fourth generation that was launched in 2022. It features five trim levels and a single powertrain offering. There are no updates made for this year’s model as it was launched just last year.
Powertrain and Numbers
The new LX600 2023 features a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine that’s good for 409 hp and 479 lb-ft. This is sent via a 10-speed automatic transmission to a full-time four-wheel drive system. It takes about 6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph, great for a vehicle this size.
On top of that, Lexus has built it to have a high maximum towing capacity of 8000 lbs. According to the EPA, the 2023 LX600 should be able to achieve up to 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

Interior and Technology
Everyone’s loving the interior of the new Lexus 2023 LX600. It is a cocoon of luxury and ambience and there’s a lot of headroom and legroom, which is expected from a full-size SUV. Based on your trim level, it can seat up to 7 passengers in an absolutely serene environment.
Like the cabin, the trunk space is also decent even if you opt for three rows of seating. It compares well to the rivals that offer extended wheelbases. Also, the third row can be folded down in case you want to utilize the space even more.
The following are the trim levels offered on the 2023 LX600 and their standard features:
2023 LX600
The standard LX600 features lovely open-pore wood trimmings and five leather-trimmed seats. The steering is also leather-trimmed but it’s heated as well. The driver seat gets 10-way power along with heating and memory settings. An auto-dimming rearview mirror is also standard.
The infotainment consists of a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch instrumentation screen, and a separate 7-inch screen for some other controls. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard, along with a high-end 10-speaker stereo system.
You also get niceties like the Drive Connect system which gets you features such as satellite navigation, voice-activation, etc. Multiple USB ports, power points, and a wireless charger for your smartphone are also present. Bluetooth and SiriusXM radio are also included.
Like other Lexus models, the entry-level trim also comes with compatibility with the Lexus App. This gives you many features such as remote start, service scheduling, and many types of vehicle alerts.
The safety features include automated emergency braking (w/pedestrian-and-bicyclist detection), lane-departure warning (w/lane-keeping assist), parking assists, a panoramic view monitor, and adaptive cruise control.
2023 LX600 F Sport Handling
This trim offers you a Hadori aluminum trim, semi-aniline leather–trimmed seating, rear sunshades, a cool box, and F Sport aluminum pedals. The rest of the changes are on the outside.
2023 LX600 Luxury
This one gets you one-touch auto-arrange power-folding seats with the second-row outboard seats being ventilated. You also receive a wood and leather-wrapped heated steering wheel and a 25-speaker high-end sound system tuned by Mark Levinson.
2023 LX600 Ultra Luxury
The very best of the LX600, it gets you a very upscale Takanoha wood trim and a rear-center armrest and table. It can seat up to four due to the ultra-luxurious heated and ventilated captain’s chairs in the back.
You also receive an 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, reclining and massaging rear seats, and a digital rearview mirror. Also included is a state-of-the-art rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.4-inch screens and a rear-seat wireless phone charger.

Exterior and Driving
The Lexus LX600 is a posh and striking vehicle to look at that gives off a premium vibe. The outside features include LED lighting, heated outside mirrors, and a powered rear door (available with a kick sensor on most models), and a moonroof.
20- to 22-inch alloy wheels are offered depending on your trim. The F Sport trim is the most unique and aggressive-looking with its custom front fascia and mesh grille insert, rear bumper with valance and front fender badges.
The exterior colors available on the 2023 Lexus LX600 are:
- Caviar
- Manganese Luster
- Nori Green Pearl
- Atomic Silver
- Eminent White Pearl
Despite the downsized engine, the 2023 Lexus LX600 feels more powerful and is more refined as well. The handling and steering characteristics are stellar for such a large SUV. As expected, it still rules the trail like its cousin, the Toyota Land Cruiser, and is the best big off-roader today.

Reliability and Warranty
The predicted reliability ratings for the 2023 LX are not available but JD Power did give last year’s model a score of 83 out of 100, putting it in the ‘Great’ category. Consumer Reports also gives the green light in this regard.
Lexus also offers the best aftersales in town. This includes a limited warranty of 4 years/50k miles, a powertrain warranty of 6 years/70k miles, and complimentary maintenance for 1 year/10k miles.
Verdict
The 2023 Lexus LX600 is easily the biggest and baddest high-end SUV today. It ticks every single box as far as acceleration, towing, refinement, sophistication, and comfort are concerned. There’s all sorts of technology offered as standard to make it even more upscale. Lastly, it is also the most reliable in the class and should serve its owners for generations.
